The Bank has agreed to provide its sports complex hall to the National Ministry of Youth and Sports for the upcoming Sports Conference, aimed at fostering discussions on enhancing the sports sector and driving investment opportunities.
Ministry officials recently visited the Bank’s facilities, including the sports complex and conference halls, to assess preparations for the event. The conference is set to attract delegates from across the country and abroad.
Dr. Joseph Geng Akec, National Minister of Youth and Sports, expressed his appreciation to the Bank for offering the venue free of charge. He commended the Bank’s administration, particularly Dr. Alic Garang, for their significant contributions to the nation’s financial transformation and expansion.
Dr. Geng also acknowledged Bank Governor Dr. Alic Garang’s efforts in recruiting young professionals through transparent processes, underlining the Bank’s role in the country’s prosperity.
In response, Dr. Alic reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to shaping monetary policy and developing human resources, citing the recruitment of talented youth as a sign of the Bank’s dedication to fostering economic growth.
Both officials emphasized the unifying power of sports and praised the recent success of South Sudan’s basketball team, which represented Africa at the Paris Games, showcasing the nation’s talent on the global stage.
