Vice President Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel, Head of the Economic Governance Cluster, today met with Hon. Adut Salva Kiir, the recently appointed Senior Presidential Envoy for Special Programs, during a courtesy call at his office in Juba.
The Vice President extended his congratulations to Hon. Adut on her new appointment, describing it as a testament to President Salva Kiir Mayardit’s confidence in leaders who bring both competence and compassion to public service.
He noted that her selection reflects a broader commitment by the presidency to empower capable individuals who can drive transformative national programs.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the implementation of Presidential Special Programs, which are high-impact initiatives designed to improve public service delivery, boost livelihoods, and expand opportunities for communities across South Sudan.
Dr. Bol Mel reaffirmed the full commitment of the Economic Cluster to work in close partnership with Hon. Adut’s office to ensure the effective execution of these programs.
He also encouraged other government clusters and institutions to extend similar collaboration, recognizing the cross-cutting nature of the initiatives.
Highlighting her extensive background in humanitarian and community-based work, the Vice President called on the public and stakeholders to support Hon. Adut in her new role.

The office of the Senior Presidential Envoy for Special Programs was established to coordinate and oversee flagship national projects and interventions that require high-level leadership and inter-ministerial collaboration.
