Chairperson of the Sudanese community in the Greater Bahr el Ghazal region, Abdin Nur Aldayem Mohammed has praised the South Sudanese government for ensuring the safety of Sudanese nationals following recent incidents.
He revealed that many Sudanese refugees were moved to military and national security facilities for protection.
He thanked the state government, security agencies, and humanitarian organizations for their swift response, which included providing essential services to those affected.
Aldayem also urged both South Sudanese and Sudanese to avoid spreading rumors, as misinformation often heightens tensions and fuels violence.
Meanwhile, Barsham Musa Ayaka, head of the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in Wau, confirmed that humanitarian partners had provided essential support, including non-food items, clean drinking water, medical services, and dignity kits for women and girls, as well as recreational activities for children.
The state government has yet to release official casualty figures from the recent clashes.
