The South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) has successfully extracted its servicemen who were displaced from Nasir town, Nasir County, in Upper Nile State.
According to SSPDF Spokesperson General Lul Ruai Koang, the servicemen were relocated from Buong and arrived safely at Juba International Airport at noon.
They were accompanied by Mr. Koat Nyang Banak, the leader of the Lou-Nuer White Army.
Upon arrival, the servicemen were received by SSPDF Spokesperson, along with Mr. Pal Kun Buoi, the Chairperson of the Akobo County Emergency Evacuation Team and a former Member of Parliament for Buong County in the defunct Akobo County, Jonglei State.
Also present was the Deputy Chairperson of the Akobo County Emergency Evacuation Team. Gen. Lul acknowledged the support of communities who received the soldiers and protected them from any danger after they have suffered a defeat from the White Army in Nasir County.
The extraction marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to address security concerns and ensure the safety of displaced servicemen amid ongoing instability in the region.
