The Presbyterian Church of South Sudan has inaugurated a new praying temple with capacity to accommodate five thousand worshippers.
The Church inauguration was commissioned by President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Wednesday.
During his speech at the inauguration ceremony, President Kiir lauded the Church for its outstanding cooperation with the government, highlighting the many church-related endeavors, such as the promotion of peace and reconciliation in the country.
He stressed that the government would keep working with religious leaders as important partners in efforts to promote peace and encourage everyone to work together to solve problems and rebuild communities.
Rev. James Makuei Chuol, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church, thanked the President for his support and promised to keep working to help the community.
The South Sudanese leader asked every citizen to support the purpose of the church and work together to solve problems that threaten the country’s peace and security.
