A team comprised of national Ministers and heads of non governmental organizations are in Bentiu to support the floods respond.
Hon. Albino Akol Atak, the minister of humanitarian affairs and disaster management, they their visit is to offering unwavering support to the safety of the citizens in the incoming flooding.

Meanwhile, Hon. Pal Mai Deng, the minister of water and irrigation, said that he will engage the partners to continue supporting the government of Unity State in this dire situation, even though we are currently facing challenges with the resources needed during these emergency interventions.
The Governor of Unity State Justice Riek Bim Top expressed willingness to work with partners in assessing the level of flooding and look for mechanisms, raising awareness among the locals populations in case of any relocation.
“The face of an impending disaster, we need necessary measures for handling the anticipated upcoming flooding. Also, there is a need for improvement of the dykes, and the clearance of the river should continue to ease the flow of the water northward,” Riek stated.
The delegation discussed the preparation of an emergency response plan, considering evacuation awareness, and ended with positive results.
