The Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, Emmanuel Primo Ukelo, on Friday evening issued Gubernatorial Order No. 1 of 2025, suspending Hon. Juma Abdalla Jur from his role as State Minister of Housing, Land, and Public Utilities.
The suspension follows a formal recommendation from the Chairman of the National Other Political Parties (OPP) and Deputy Speaker of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA), dated 26 June 2025.
According to the order obtained by Voice of Hope Radio, the Minister of Roads and Bridges will assume the responsibilities of the suspended minister in an acting capacity until further notice.
The directive also instructs the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, the State Ministry of Finance, Planning and Investment, the State Ministry of Labour, Public Service and Human Resource Development, the National Security Service, and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to take all necessary actions to implement the suspension.
