Tonj South, Warrap State — The newly appointed Commissioner of Tonj South County, Ring Deng Ading, has vowed to tackle the insecurity in the region and stabilize the situation.
Upon his arrival in Tonj Town on Monday evening, the commissioner expressed confidence that with the support of county authorities, the security situation could be brought under control.
The County Executive Director, Yel Chan Kanac, presented a detailed security report, highlighting recent violence, including the wounding of five fishermen and the killing of two individuals in the Manyangok area. Kanac also reported several incidents of cattle raiding and theft along the riverbanks.
In his welcoming speech, the County Executive Director expressed optimism that the commissioner’s tenure would bring peace to Tonj South and the neighboring counties. Citizens turned out in large numbers to welcome Commissioner Ring Deng Ading, demonstrating their hopes for a peaceful future.
